The Victorian West Sussex website content has been created by West Sussex County Council Library Service and it is hosted by the West Sussex Grid for Learning.  It is the first product of the new West Sussex History E-learning Project.

The website supports the following QCA History Schemes of Work at Key Stage 2:

• Unit 11 What was it like for children living in Victorian Britain ?
• Unit 12 How did life change in our locality in Victorian times ?

Principal topics with learning activities are:
Census, Leisure, Portraits, Poverty, Schooling, Town Trails, Trade & Industry, Transport, Work and Summary of Changes (early/later Victorian period).
